IPL filed a product patent for
improved LMP cathodes

Integrals Power has filled a patent to protect its high performance specification of LMP cathode materials including LFP. This was filled after successful completion of FTO and patentibility with the help of expert battery patent attornies.

This is a major milestone for Integrals Power as it enables accelerated scale-up and pilot plant development over the next year and opens new opportunities for licensing their current technology to allow mass adoption. Integrals Power aims to develop pilot plants by next year and subsequently setup a 10,000 ton/year capacity plant of LFP cathode material in the UK by 2025.

Furthermore, Integrals Power will launch engineering activities for the design, construction, and operation of a commercial LFP facility. Site selection for this plant will be done in collaboration with partners and will consider governmental and non-governmental support in various jurisdictions.

Integrals Power plans to use this plant as a blueprint for large multi-line production facilities under a hybrid business model that includes licensing, joint venture and independent production in UK and other emerging critical mineral jurisdictions. This strategy is aimed at serving outsized demand from the energy storage, mobility, and electric vehicle markets. Details will be disclosed as the company firms them up.
